Color Abbreviations

The colors of a piece of insignia can sometimes be difficult to accurately describe and may be affected by fading, soiling, lighting conditions, and a viewer’s subjective understanding of color shades. Manufacturers frequently have numerous shades of the same color thread available, and different shades may unintentionally
result from the quality of the materials used during production. Despite these factors, the codes below were used to describe the insignia in Patch Pocket as accurately and consistently as possible.
